And Consumers get their money back.
Today the FTC announced that it fined Reebok 25 million bucks for making statements about their toning shoes that could not be verified. Reebok claimed you’ll get a better rump, stronger muscles, toned legs – a new you! However, the FTC called the bluff, investigated and did not find that these statements were substantiated with any objective evidence. [Oops!] FTC’s core message: Stop misrepresenting and elevating your claims just to sell your products. It’s not fair to consumers. I love it, and I think this decision is fair and reasonable.
So, if you purchased any of Reebok’s toning shoes or apparel, on or after December 5, 2008, dig up your receipt and go here to get your money back! My suggestion… Squats and Lunges!
