An interactive competition taking place online and at live events around the world where IT security experts will have the chance to test their skills and knowledge in exciting scenarios inspired by real-life security issues.
The competition will take the form of a ‘capture the flag’ style cyber attack simulation, with players competing against each other to solve IT security problems. Players have the opportunity to win prizes and gain points PLUS the best players from the worldwide events will take part in the Cyber Readiness Championship!
You may not be a cyber security expert just yet, but these events are a great place to meet, mix and mingle with IT security experts. You can learn more about this event here.

The FTC wants to know your thoughts on the collection of personal data in this day and age. This is a great opportunity to get your opinion heard by a very pro-consumer federal agency. The Federal Trade Commission works for consumers to prevent fraudulent, deceptive, and unfair business practices and to provide information to help spot, stop, and avoid them.
The FTC is accepting comments about comprehensive data collection to firstname.lastname@example.org. The agency will accept comments until March 8, 2013.
For more information on the issues, please watch the video (approx. 60min) of a special workshop held by the FTC last December.
